It was an honour to work on this book with the NGO ‘Room to Read’ and Filipino author, Becky Gerodias. This book was one of 12 picture books that features Authors and Illustrators from Hong Kong and other parts of Asia. This special collaboration focussed on creating children’s books with diverse characters that represented different migrant groups of children of Hong Kong, emphasising the importance of children seeing themselves reflected in books they read. Thus improving literacy in their own mother tongues and in Chinese.

This is a fun and charming story about two friends who have a New Year playdate. It’s a story about friendship, sharing, creativity and empathy.
