About me
I grew up in Hertfordshire, UK; being a child of Hong Kong Chinese immigrant parents who were often working long hours, me and my siblings were occasionally causing chaos at home much to the dismay of our grandmother. My childhood was spent drawing funny pictures, watching warner bros cartoons on VHS, reading books and creating obstacle courses in the living room with my 2 brothers.
Still drawing through the years, I went on to receive a Masters of Arts in Illustration from University of Arts London at Camberwell College.
In 2009, I moved to Asia to explore my cultural roots, and where I also spent several years as a primary art teacher and a freelance illustrator in Hong Kong. Now, I’m currently working on my own picture book stories; and inspired by heart-warming stories as well as the absurd. I’m also available to hire as an Illustrator, with the main focus on children’s books.
My ‘go - to’ art materials are gouache, watercolour, coloured pencils and procreate.
I currently live in the sub-tropical countryside of Hong Kong with my husband and daughter.
